The W.O.M.B.™ Protocol: A Healing Journey
A Christ-Centered Path to Healing After Abortion and Restoring Your Identity
You can love Jesus, serve faithfully, and still carry pain from an abortion experience no one else knows about.
Maybe you have confessed it, prayed about it, and asked God to forgive you. Yet the shame still follows you into your marriage, your parenting, your relationship with God, and the quiet moments when no one else is around.
You may not even connect what you are experiencing today with what happened years ago. You only know you are tired of overthinking, overreacting, striving to be good enough, and waiting for God to punish you.
The W.O.M.B.™ Protocol is a Christ-centered process designed to help you uncover the lies attached to your story, bring hidden pain into the presence of Jesus, and begin living from the truth of who God says you are.
This is not about becoming a better version of the “good Christian” mask.
It is about remembering who you are.
W — Witness the Lie
Healing begins when you become honest about what you have been carrying.
Abortion shame can hide beneath religious performance, perfectionism, fear, anger, anxiety, and the pressure to keep everyone around you happy.
You may find yourself thinking:
God forgave me, but I cannot forgive myself.
I have to make up for what happened.
If people knew, they would see me differently.
Something bad will eventually happen because of what I did.
Before the lie can be overcome, it must first be brought into the light.

Have you ever smiled through worship while secretly hoping nobody asks how you’re really doing? Maybe they won’t ask. Maybe they won’t look a little closer.
O — Overcome the Lie
Once you recognize the lie, you must stop agreeing with it.
This is not about ignoring your past or covering every painful thought with a positive phrase. It is about allowing the Holy Spirit to show you where shame has distorted the way you see yourself, your relationships, and God.
Ask Him:
What lie have I believed?
Then ask:
Jesus, what is true?
Reject the lie out loud and begin agreeing with what God says instead.
The enemy may remind you of what happened, but you do not have to keep allowing his accusations to shape your life.

M — Move It Out With Jesus
Sometimes your mind says you are fine while your body and emotions tell a different story.
Unresolved abortion grief may show up when your husband becomes quiet and you immediately assume you have done something wrong. It may surface through emotional reactions that feel bigger than the moment, fear that something bad is about to happen, difficulty receiving love, or a mind that refuses to rest at night.
Healing is not only about understanding what happened.
It is also about allowing Jesus into the places where your body, emotions, and relationships are still carrying it.
Through prayer, breathing, walking, movement, and honest conversation with Jesus, you begin releasing what you were never meant to carry forever.

B — Become Who He Says You Are
Healing is not complete when you simply stop believing the lie.
You must also begin receiving the truth.
You are not becoming someone God can finally love. You are learning to live as the woman He already calls His beloved.
Romans 9:25 says:
“I will call them ‘My people,’ who are not My people; and her ‘Beloved,’ who was not beloved.”
Abortion shame may have called you rejected, ruined, unforgivable, dirty, or unworthy.
But your past does not have the authority to rename you.
God calls you Beloved.

Take the Next Step
You do not have to rush through this or force yourself to feel something. Take a few quiet minutes with Jesus and allow Him into the part of your story you have been carrying alone.
A Short Letter of Release
Jesus,
Today I release the woman I have been blaming for what happened. I forgive her for the choices she made, the fear she carried, and the ways she tried to survive. I lay down the shame, punishment, and striving I have carried ever since. I no longer agree with the lie that my past defines me or disqualifies me from Your love. You call me forgiven, chosen, restored, and beloved. Today, I choose to believe You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
After you finish, ask Him:
Jesus, what do You call me now?
Write down what He shows you. Keep it somewhere you can return to when the old accusations try to speak again.
